Erasmus+ project NATURE aims at developing a serious digital game that raises awareness, promotes preparedness, and develops knowledge and skills for natural resources management.
The kickoff meeting of the project took place in Volos, Greece on June 2 and 3, 2022 with the participation of partners from Latvia, Estonia, Portugal, Italy, and Greece.
At this early stage of project implementation, partners discussed different aspects of game design, including different terrains, such as deserts, savannas, steppes, forests, lakes, and rivers, differnt fauna and flora, and conditions such as wind and elevations and their influence on ecosystems.
These will allow the development of a game engine that supports interesting scenarios related to the preservation of natural econsystems.
The partners further discussed issues related to needs analysis for the design of the proposed digital learning game, national and regional level strategies and policies related to natural resources management, related software and other applications for building knowledge and skills, dissemination, and financials aspects of the project.
