Project DigitCreche aims to enhance higher education programs for the Creative and Cultural Industries in the Western Balkan countries to make
students more satisfied with the skills they acquired, to ensure that graduates are more skilled and competitive on the labour market and therefore achieving higher employment rates.
The project achieves this through a digital transformation that takes advantage of active learning methodologies and innovative digital educational tools. The project assesses the existing needs in higher education programmes for Creative and Cultural Industries, designs, develops and/or adapts curricula, courses, and learning materials, implement different learning and collaboration activities for teachers, postgraduates, and graduates.
The project develops creative digital labs for students in Western Balkan universities, organizes workshops, intensive study programmes, and master classes in online and offline forms. The project further creates a virtual learning and collaborative platform to foster a common approach to tackle
these educational approaches in the Western Balkans and in the EU.
The kickoff meeting of the project took place at Barleti University and Mediteranean University in Tirana, Albania on December 13 – 15, 2023 with the participation of 13 universities and educational organizations from Portugal, Germany, Bosnia Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, North Macedonia, and Greece. Partners participated in a conference on the status of the Creative and Cultural Industries today. They further discussed project implementation and made implementation plans for the following 12 months.
