CTLL co-organized and participated in a summer school on innovation that took place at the University of Aveiro on September 22 – 28, 2021. The summer school was a rigorous session in which students worked in international teams to introduce solutions to pressing issues such as green thinking, sustainable food, green tourism, sustainable mobility, and waste management. 26 students participated from the University of Thessaly (Greece), Technical University of Lodge (Poland), University of Aveiro (Portugal), ULSIT (Bulgaria) and Tallinn University (Estonia).
Students applied an integrated process for solution design based on design thinking, problem-solving, and creative thinking.
The result was innovative solutions that encourage citizens to deploy sustainable transport such as bicycles, select sustainable tourism offerings, recognize waste in terms of type for helping recycling, and become aware on the environmental footprint of food production processes.
