ReachOut project meeting in Volos, 20/1/2025

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Thessaly, and specifically the Creative Technologies Learning Lab (http://ctll.e-ce.uth.gr) research group, develops learning initiatives to empower teachers to design educational actions to address trauma from natural disasters in students. The actions are addressed to teachers in primary and secondary education. They are related to diverse events, such as earthquakes,  floods, fires, drought, and more. The project enriches teachers’ skills through comprehensive examples of exercises and good practice guides that support them in designing and implementing new content tailored to the specific needs of each class. Learning activities can be integrated into different courses, such as mathematics, arts, music, and sports.

The Creative Technologies Learning Lab organised a consortium meeting on January 20, 2025, with 15 trainers and researchers from Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, and Greece. The participants collaborated in structuring learning activities and adapting them to each country’s conditions, particularities, and needs.

The ReachOut project runs from 2024 to 2026. In addition to the University of Thessaly, the Governorship of Istanbul, regional education directorates from Turkey and Romania, and non-governmental organizations from Bulgaria participate in its implementation.
