DigiMat project multiplier event 22/4/2024

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Thessaly (ECE), and specifically the Creative Technologies Learning Lab (http://ctll.e-ce.uth.gr) research group, received a visit from the 6th Lyceum of Volos to the computer lab of the department on April 22, 2024. 20 students participated, accompanied by the school’s principal, Mr. Raptis. The students were informed about the curriculum, the scientific directions of the department, and the career opportunities of the graduates. They participated in a discussion with questions related to career guidance in polytechnic directions.

Students then actively participated in interactive educational exercises by collaborating in teams to design innovative solutions in science and sustainability. The students used the digital learning services developed by the Creative Learning Technologies team in the framework of the research project DigiMat: Excellence for Digital Education in Materials Engineering funded by the Erasmus+ program. Digital services enhanced the interactivity of learning while contributing to collaboration, structuring learning activities, presenting them digitally, and accessing digital learning content.

Project DigiMat is implemented from 2022 to 2024. Apart from the University of Thessaly, higher education institutions from Poland, Estonia and the Czech Republic participate in the research project.
