A final project conference took place in Istanbul on October 9, 2026. The event had a duration of 4 hours from 9.30 – 13.30. The event was attended by approximately 60 school educators from the area of Istanbul, volunteers working for green goals, and others. The audience was first familiarised with the concepts of biomimicry, a process that helps learners design solutions inspired by natural models and processes through a series of steps: DEFINE, BIOLOGIZE, DISCOVER, ABSTRACT, EMULATE and EVALUATE. The speakers presented characteristic biomimicry solution examples, such as natural building cooling inspired by termite mounds, quitter and more aerodynamic Shirkanen train inspired by the kingfisher’s beak, and more. Yesterday COMPutational Seniors celebrated the final presentation event of the project.
