Today at Fundacja Małopolska Izba Samorządowa, we had the second session of testing the Computational Seniors Learning Boc of Unplugged Activities with a group of seniors from the Kraków-Grzegórzki Senior Citizens’ Activity Centre as part of Erasmus+ COMPutational Seniors project.
Seniors tested the “Unplugged Activities” – a specially designed tasks that are carried out entirely without the use of a computer or electronic devices.
They practised skills such as decomposition (breaking down large problems into smaller ones), pattern recognition and algorithmic thinking, using examples such as the ‘Smart Family Shopping Planner’ and “Garden Master” activities. Thanks to the active participation of our guests, we gathered very valuable feedback through evaluation questionnaires, which will directly help us improve the educational materials we are preparing before their final publication.
