EAIEN Presentation at EDU Congress 2025

EAIEN project on the international stage again!

Yesterday, our Romanian partner Ana-Maria Dascălu-Romitan from Universitatea Politehnica Timișoara presented EcoAI EduNetwork Initiative (EAIEN) at the roundtable event “Comunicarea științei: științe sociale și umaniste” hosted by UPT. She highlighted how EAIEN empowers teachers and students with green skills, AI literacy, and innovative OER creation, contributing to a more sustainable and future-ready education ecosystem. LET’s MIMIC event with the Musical High School of Volos 18/11/2025

Today we had the pleasure to work with the Musical High School of Volos to design solutions inspired by nature (biomimicry or nature-based solutions) for addressing climate change impact in our town. 14 students and their teachers, Ms. Chrysoula Makri and Afroditi Kalantzopoulou, visited the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The activity was organised within Erasmus+ project Let’s Mimic, which develops learning resources for introducing biomimicry principles in learning. Students participated in team building and creativity exercises. Then, they were familiarised with biomimicry principles and examples, such as termite mounds for natural cooling of buildings, kingfisher beak shape inspiring bullet train design for reduced friction and noise, whale fins inspiring windmill design for energy production, seaweed cultivation for CO2 absorption, green roofs and terraces for clean air and temperature…

Empowering future green leaders through AI-enhanced learning!

Our partner high schools are now in the final phase of implementing the Green Skills Student Ambassador Program. After successfully completing the training, students have gained key competences in sustainability, climate literacy, eco-friendly design, and the responsible use of AI tools. They are now finalizing their own AI-supported educational materials to raise awareness among their peers and promote sustainable practices within their schools and communities.In line with data protection principles, we share AI-generated images instead of real student photos.

ReachOut piloting with Sainth Joseph primary school 11/11/2025

Today, we had the pleasure of working with students from Saint Joseph Primary School on prevention, response, and recovery from natural disasters. 27 students and their teachers visited the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and participated in activities that foster collaboration, coordination, creativity, critical thinking, and empathy.
