The Creative Technologies Learning Lab research team of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Thessaly (http://cttl.e-ce.uth.gr) organized instructor training on the design and deployment of interactive learning activities that build digital and programming skills among adults, particularly aged 55+.

The event was attended by 15 vocational education teachers from the 2nd Evening Vocational Lyceum of Volos. The event took place at the computer lab of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering on Thursday, December 1, 2022.

Participants used hands-on learning content that helps build digital skills among adults. The activities have been developed in the context of Erasmus+ project SilverCoders (http://silvercoders.eu) and divided into two main categories.

In the first category, activities address a wide range of everyday skills such as understanding the internet, internet services, internet security, image processing, creating digital content with popular applications. In the second group, activities help build programming skills by generating code for simple games.
