Screen-free braing training!

Today at Fundacja Małopolska Izba Samorządowa, we had the great pleasure of testing the Computational Seniors Learning Box of Unplugged Activities with a group of seniors from the Kraków-Grzegórzki Senior Citizens’ Activity Centre as part of Erasmus+  Computational Seniors project.

What are the “Unplugged Activities” we are testing?

These are specially designed tasks that are carried out entirely without the use of a computer or electronic devices. The main aim of this project is to develop key competences and soft skills in adults – particularly seniors – using the principles of Computational Thinking method.

The seniors practised skills such as decomposition (breaking down large problems into smaller ones), pattern recognition and algorithmic thinking, using examples such as the ‘Smart Family Shopping Planner’ activity. Thanks to the active participation of our guests, we gathered very valuable feedback through evaluation questionnaires, which will directly help us improve the educational materials we are preparing before their final publication.

We would like to thank all participants from Grzegórzki in Kraków for their tremendous commitment, open-mindedness and willingness to take on new challenges without the use of digital technology!
