INCLUDEME project instructor training and piloting event 24/4/2023

The Special Vocational High School of Nea Ionia Volos visited the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Thessaly (THMMY). Approximately 40 high school lyceum students (16 – 18) and 10 educators participated in digital educational activities held at the departments’ computer lab on April 24, 2023. The action is a continuation of an earlier relevant activity addressed the school’s gymnasium students (aged 12 – 16), which took place on April 27, 2023. A community building event for project ICT-INOV: Modernizing ICT Education for Harvesting Innovation took place in Greece in the context of the EESTech 2023 Challenge on March 18, 2023. EESTech Challenge is a yearly competition for European university students/graduates with the aim to gain knowledge in the field of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and expand their professional networks. The competition consists of several local rounds organized by EESTEC branches in different European cities and the Final Round where the winners of the local rounds will compete with each other. INCLUDEME project piloting and instructor training with the Special Education Vocational High School of Nea Ionia, March 27,2023

A dual piloting and instructor training event took place on March 27, 2023. During the event, 40 students and 14 teachers of the Specical Education Vocational High School of Nea Ionia visited the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Thessaly. The students and teachers became aware of project INCLUDEME objectives, activities, and outcomes. They experienced the full functionality of the INCLUDEME digital learning platform for inclusive education, including functionality that facilitates access to the project educational content to individuals with disabilities. In addition, the participants engaged into a series of exercises developed through the INCLUDEME digital learning platform using H5P tools. VIE project multiplier event at the University of the Agean 17/1/2023

Project VIE develops digital collaboration tools for hybrid learning. Through these tools, the project aims to support the flexibility necessary in learning design that has emerged in the COVID-19 pandemic. More specifically, the tools aim to support the smooth transition of learning delivery from in-class to virtual models and back, as well as hybrid learning scenarios, without disruption. The digital tools developed in the project complement existing educational content management services, which typically support content sharing, exams (both multiple choice and open text), announcements, and the submission of student projects. The VIE tools provide collaboration capabilities that are typically not available in traditional learning management systems.
