As part of our project, we took our Green Ambassadors to the heart of Eskişehir’s energy production: the Integrated Solid Waste Disposal and Energy Generation Plant in Odunpazarı Sarısungur. We witnessed firsthand how 900 tons of daily domestic waste is transformed into 7.8 megawatts of electricity, powering tens of thousands of homes. From methane gas combustion to advanced bio-waste management, we explored the vital role these modern facilities play in creating a cleaner, greener future. Our EAIEN Green Ambassadors took their mission to Eskişehir’s city center! We were privileged to be the guests of Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce. From AI-driven solutions to zero-waste milestones, Dr. Aytaç Ünverdi provided a masterclass in modern urbanism. Proud of our Green Ambassadors for leading the dialogue with such brilliant insights. The future is green, digital, and powered by youth! A huge thank you to Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce for the warm welcome and to Dr. Aytaç Ünverdi for the incredible insights into sustainability. Crossing borders for a sustainable future
As part of the "GREEN Skills Peer Training Exchange", EAIEN Project hosted the "Green Ambassador" teachers and students from Liceul Tehnologic "Stefan Hell" Santana (Romania) and Özel Çağdaş Fen Lisesi at our project coordinator, Anadolu University. We had an incredible time observing sustainability practices on campus and sharing our experiences. LET’s MIMIC piloting with the 1st Vocational High School of Volos, 11/2/2026
Additional piloting activities took place for validating, generating feedback, and integrating student and educator inputs into the LET’s MIMIC biomimicry learning design for innovation inspired by natural models and processes, the LET’s MIMIC digital learning platform, and the training modules. The piloting took place in February 2026, engaging 45 students from the 1st Vocational High School of Volos. The students visited the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Thessaly. In the computer lab, the students reflected on the importance of sustainability for quality of life, were familiarised with the principles and steps of biomimicry, and used the LET’s MIMIC digital learning platform to synthesise biomimicry solutions to address the effects of climate change on the town of Volos.
