Multiplier event project TakeITSerious 24/10/2022

Our team co-organized with the Center for Educational Regional Planning of Thessaly (PEKES Thessalias) a multiplier event on the outcomes of Erasmus+ project Take IT Serious (https://ctll.e-ce.uth.gr/index.php/tis/), which is implemented from 2020 to 2022 . The event aimed at raising awareness raising and promoting preparation of secondary schools learners and educators for protection from natural disasters. The event took place in the computer lab of DECE on October 24, 2022 and addressed secondary school students. The event was attended by 37 students and 3 teachers from the 6th Lyceum of Volos. Instructor training on innovation skill development 11/10/2022

An instructor training event was organized by the University of Thessaly on October 11, 2022 in the context of Capacity Building in Higher Education Erasmus+ event ICT-INOV (http://ictinov-project.eu). The event was organized in collaboration with the Department of Civil Engineering of the Unviversity of Thessaly. It was attended by 10 instructors from academic institutions from across Europe, including Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany, and Greece. The audience was exposed to design thinking principles, specific activities that may be deployed in design thinking steps, and the ICT-INOV digital learning platform. The platform will be made available for them to use, promoting project outcomes beyond the consortium.

ICT-INOV instructor training on gamified design thinking at Tribhuvan University Nepal, 27/7/2022

Project ICT-INOV focuses on building innovation skills in higher education in Europe and Asia. Instructor training builds capacity at participating organizations to deploy the proposed gamified design thinking approach. The 2nd instructor training event took place in the ICT-INOV lab in the Center for Energy Studies (CES), Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University on July 27, 2022. The main objective of the training was to familiarize faculty members and instructors with the ICT-INOV digital learning platform for innovation. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Thessaly (DECE), and specifically Creative Technologies Learning Lab research team (https://ctll.e-ce.uth.gr), organized a seminar on the deployment of escape rooms, a special category of serious games, in learning. The event took place on September 22, 2022 at the computer lab of DECE, Sekeri and Heyden, Pedion Areos. The event addressed vocational education students and teachers.
